Call of Nature

I love our neighbor's beautiful and well-maintained garden. It gives their house a warm, earthy look.

This is the best part! This plant also serves as a shade leading to their side door.

BEAUTIFUL!

Gumamela ba to? I forgot to ask them.

PINK GUMAMELA?

It sorta reminds me of Sonya's Garden in Tagaytay.

They obviously love bonsai!

And this is the one and only flowering plant in our garden.

I really wish our garden looks like our neighbor's garden.

But I'm not complaining... :)

My friend was right in talking me into not buying an expensivo DSLR camera. LX3 was really a better choice. It fits my style and need. Anyway, all I do is take pictures of flowers! Haha!

Lee Dewyze

Indeed a BEAUTIFUL DAY for AI Season 9 winner Lee Dewyze.

This is an acoustic version of Beautiful Day. Mas gusto ko 'to.

This is definitely my favorite performance of him. Goosebumps!!!

I also love how he performed it in Ellen.

Paoie

I'd like you to meet Paoie.

She's my 2 year old mini-pinscher.

I got her 2 years ago from my past dogs' veterinarian.

I remember when she was still puny a baby I can carry her with one hand.

She won't grow any larger than this.

And I have just watched Hachiko A Dog's Story starring Richard Gere. It's a true dog story that happened in Japan in 1925. I cried a barrel of tears because of Hachiko.

Right now, I'm watching HOMEWARD BOUND.

I'm also looking for the YouTube videos of MARLEY & ME.

If there's none then maybe I'd read the book first.

"Commitment matters. That 'in good times and bad, in sickness and in health' really means something. We didn't give up on Marley when it would have been easy to, and in the end he came through and proved himself a great and memorable pet." - John Grogan

Adobo a la Chino Trinidad

Spoon is now on its 3rd year! 10th season! And we're more than happy to share with you that our "kitchen" has now invited more than 100 Filipino celebrities. This time Spoon invited a sought-after sports analyst and commentator especially during Manny Pacquiao fights. He's no less than Mr. Chino Trinidad. And without a doubt he's one of the most rapid talking guest we've ever had in our show. Well, that's how we like it! He has loads of stories to share and many interesting trivia about different sports.

His statement shirt says, "MAY PAG-ASA PA PO ANG AKING BANSA." Which easily translates to "There is still hope for my country."

That's his adobo! Adobo a la Chino! Yum! His take on his adobo is no different with the other adobo recipes our guest in the past had cooked. The only striking difference is he used lots and lots of fresh onions. He added the onions a few minutes after the recipe was cooked. Et voila!

Boss Chino, again I'd like to thank you for all the nice and kind words you said about our show and the staff. We're so touched. We're indeed very happy and honored that you accepted our invitation. Thank you for sharing your adobo recipe and your passion in supporting our Filipino athletes. Your stories truly inspired us and your energy on the set was contagious!

These are the messages Chino posted in my facebook wall. Forgive me for posting these. I don't want to brag. I just want to share his messages because they inspire us to work harder for the show.

"My true blessing today is meeting you guys. Sarap ng work kapag masaya at laging may God sa equation. Post niyo pics at again salamat sa lahat ng goodies."

"To my newfound Spoon family---- a million thanks. Pagpalain pa lalo ng Diyos ang inyong show."

"Hey Nizza! Thanks a million. Can't wait na makauwi ako this Sunday from an assignment here in GenSan so I can watch Spoon with my family. Talagang blessed to have found great new friends..."

Patterns, Flowers and Sandwich @ the Shang

A big beef sandwich all for me!!! Biggie french fries too!!! A glass of cold strawbery juice!!!
These are all I needed to keep me energized for the whole day.

I love taking pictures of fresh flowers. The very big and tall flower arrangement at the lobby was quite fascinating!

These photos above are nice patterns and shapes of a table and carpet.

My friend NM agreed to pose for me. Yeah, the flowers on top of his head pose was his idea. =)
All photos were taken at the EDSA Shangri-la in Makati lobby while waiting for our driver. Just goofing around to kill time.

It's a toss between...

THIS
"Any change, any loss, does not make us victims. Others can shake you, surprise you, disappoint you, but they can't prevent you from acting, from taking the situation you're presented with and moving on. No matter where you are in life, no matter what your situation, you can always do something. You always have a choice and the choice can be power." - Blaine Lee

or THIS ONE
"The art of war is simple enough. Find out where your enemy is. Get at him as soon as you can. Strike him as hard as you can and as often as you can, and keep moving on." - Ulysses Grant

MOVING FORWARD \m/

I saw something today that I thought would hurt me and make me cry. I thought it will destroy me. But surprisingly, my reaction was the total opposite of what I thought I would feel. I only felt RELIEF. WOW! That was amazing!

That could only mean one thing... He has completely erased the pain and the anger and the recurring self-doubt and self-pity - ALL GONE. OH YES! PTL!

Thank You Lord for embracing me with your compassion and for surrounding me with the most awesome family and friends at the time that I needed them the most.

My journey has finally come full circle. I feel marvelous! I feel like a rockstar! \m/
